We’re happy to introduce Diana Vogel as the 2015 ObesityHelp Emcee!
Our attendees fell in love with Diana at #OH2013, where she led two breakout sessions, one on Relationships and the other on Complacency. We particularly loved her direct and honest approach, sense of humor and how she made everyone feel comfortable and at ease, so we invited Diana to Emcee the 2014 Conference. She amazed us yet again and we just had to invite her to join us for #OH2015! Diana is going to help us keep the Conference running smoothly and make sure every one is having a fantastic time.
Diana is a fourth year Doctorate student with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at the California School of Professional Psychology in Irvine California. She received her Master of Science in Marriage, Family, Child Therapy in 2008, in addition to becoming a certified Domestic Violence Counselor in 2004. The focus of her practice is to help clients overcome and manage stress, anxiety or depression that keeps them from achieving life long goals and finding ultimate happiness.
In 2012, Diana added weight loss surgery as a subspecialty to her practice, as she had RNY gastric bypass on January 2011. She now brings her knowledge as a therapist, combined with her personal experience as a bariatric patient, to offer a unique service to the weight loss surgery community. Identifying complacency and promoting lifestyle changes drives this sub specialty. In addition to maintaining her goal weight since surgery, she is also now a marathon finisher. Diana completed the LA Marathon, 26.2 miles, on March 9, 2014.
In addition to her private practice in Southern California, Diana is the resident relationship expert every Wednesday night on Traklife radios’ Lip Service show. She also holds a variety of workshops like Cooking Therapy; where you can learn to cook and cope with food all in one setting, Life Class; a custom designed 2 hour class focused on the individual needs of each attendee, The Mega Workshop; a 6 hour, lunch included, interactive class that focuses on the emotional challenges of long term weight loss surgery success.
“I’m known for being able to see through one’s pain, break it down so that it can be understood, then provide clients with the tools so that they can build themselves back up.”
